The Snow Was Borrowed

The closing ceremony for the 2026 Winter Olympics was held at the Verona Arena on the 22nd of February. They called it Beauty in Action, and in the warmth of that ancient amphitheatre, with the Olympic flame burning for the last time and the Alps somewhere beyond the darkness, it was easy to believe in it.
